Our variety of technique allows us to provide you with the best care. Of course we haven't listed everything but this will give you an idea of the variety.
| The cox technique starts out with the use of a cox table. This is a table that releases in the middle allowing the patient to bend at the waist. We can also use this table for rehab or a hot low back. Allowing the patients to perform gentle motion in a very controlled and gentle manner without stretching the structures at all. Simply by not moving the table as far. This table also does side to side motion allowing the feet to swing to the right and left. This table really provides the doctor with a full choice of motion and allows a lot of possibilities for the patient with stretching, motion and rehabilitation. |

Flexion Distraction technique uses a similar table with more features. This table can also lengthen allowing for stretching, release allowing for a larger belly or drop allowing for drop technique. Drop technique is a spring loaded adjustment. With gentle pressure the table will "drop" about 1 cm allowing your weight or gravity to provide the force for the adjustment. This is a favorite technique for those that are squeamish about cracking sound that often occurs with adjustment. We can also do drop technique seated with children or adults.
Combining this table with supports and cushions allows for the greatest comfort in the last months of pregnancy. Soon-to-be-moms love the ability to lie on their stomach again as we get many requests to take the pillows and supports home. |
Webster Technique is a must for all pregnant patients. It allows the doctor to check the ligament tension and balance the pelvis. Click here to see the video! Babies want to be head down and when the pelvis si aligned the uterus is egg shaped allowing the heaviest part of the baby (the head) to go head down. But when the pelvis is crooked it pulls and warps the uterus so the baby had no choice but to remain head up or sideways. It's not comfortable for the mother or the baby and can lead to challenges during delivery.
Pressing gently on these ligaments can have immediate results! Balancing the pelvis, keeping the uterus egg shaped and allowing the baby to go head down. This is just one of the reasons we highly recommend chiropractic throughout a pregnancy. We assist in your having a great pregnancy by keeping you balanced, pain free and support you nutritionally as well. |

Side posture is very effective and gentle for seniors, adults, teens and kids. You'll also notice that it takes nothing more then a simple table. No gears or moving parts on these tables.
Side posture is one of the best ways for the doctor to align the pelvis and move the bones in the lower back.
We can change the amount of force by using one finger on the joint for our littlest patients or our palm over the joint for our adult patients. |

We want our patients to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. On the first visit we will often recruit mom or dad's help. (parents make that best cushions!) Little ones are so relaxed when lying on a parents tummy and often very still. It really takes the scary away from the first visit. Soon kids are climbing up all by themselves! |

On a small child, the doctor will often bring the diaper down a little bit and squeeze the cheeks together. This is a great technique to see if the sacrum and low back bones are aligned. If the crease is straight then so are the bones.
Toddlers fall often as they learn to walk and climb so the pelvis is often unbalanced. |
